An "Island Gal" in Switzerland
Meet Adrienne
(and her Pfaff)
I've always had a passion for arts and crafts. Starting a project from raw materials and watching it become a really useful item is one of the most satisfying things of my life.

I grew up between the Bahamas and the United States, graduating from high school in the Bahamas before going to the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California.

After graduation, I moved back to the Bahamas, where I settled into island life making jewelry and soap.

My husband and I met in the Bahamas and after a few years he decided to bring me to his home country Switzerland as the "best souvenir of all time".

I started sewing bags on a whim and got obsessed. I love working with all the colors, textures and designs of the different fabrics and looking for new and amazing patterns.

I spend my days and nights at my old Pfaff sewing machine, working on making Shallow Seas handbags something my customers will proudly display and use.
My goal is to create functional works of art that can be worn.
